Central Texas Flood Resources & How to Help

As Texans recover from the recent floods, the Texas AFL-CIO has compiled a list of resources for the affected counties for both union members and the general public. Thank you to all of our emergency responders for their work during this crisis.

Please follow local officials for the latest information. 

Donate or volunteer to help those impacted by the Central Texas Flood:


Statewide resources: 

  • ✊ Union Members: 
    • Workers Assistance ProgramCounseling, legal referrals, financial consultation, and helpful information for union members, (800) 522-0550
    • Many international unions provide direct payments to members for disaster relief. Please contact your local and international if you have property damage or loss.
       
  • 📝 Report Damage:
  • ⚖️ Toll-free legal hotline: Call for issues like replacing lost documents, insurance questions, landlord-tenant problems, price-gouging or avoiding contractor scams following a natural disaster. (800) 504-7030
     
  • ☎️ Mental health care hotline: Trained crisis counselors are available through the national Suicide and Crisis Lifeline by calling or texting 988.

    • Cross Kingdom Church in Kerrville has received many donations, and church officials said people can come by and grab things. The address is 3044 Junction Hwy in Kerrville.
