  • Support NALC 226 & APWU 98 - The Post Office is NOT for Sale.

    TCCLC Delegates,

This is a call to action! Support our union sisters and brothers with the NALC 226 and the APWU 98.

In June the White House issued a report on government restructuring, which included a proposal to change the Postal Service from a government agency to a privately held corporation. Remember; The Postal Service DOES NOT draw from tax dollars. It is wholly funded through postage and sales. The Postal Service is totally self funded and employees hundreds of thousands of union Postal Service workers that serve 157 million customers six days a week.

In response to the White House proposal, Postal Service workers put House Resolution 993 before Congress, which stated “Congress should take all appropriate measures to ensure that the United States Postal Service remains an independent establishment of the Federal Government and is not subject to privatization.”

Privatization would bring about corporate greed that would ruin the Postal Service. Privatization would undoubtedly cut jobs in the name of profits over people. Here in Tarrant County These are good union jobs represented by the APWU 98 and the NALC 226.

This is a TCCLC delegate call to action.

Support your fellow sisters and brothers at NALC226 & APWU 98 and tell your elected leaders to sponsor and support HR 993.
